The Bayhealth Foundation is pleased to announce new board member appointments and honor members for their long-standing dedication. The Bayhealth Foundation Board of Directors is an all-volunteer group of local professionals who devote time and resources to fulfill the philanthropic and relationship-building goals of Bayhealth, a not-for-profit health system with locations throughout central and southern Delaware. The Bayhealth Foundation and its faithful leadership serve to support programs and services across the organization and help carry out the Bayhealth mission to strengthen the health of our community, one life at a time.
The Bayhealth Foundation Board of Directors is excited to welcome two new board members—Peni G. Warren and Robert Book. Warren is a senior vice president and senior financial advisor at Merrill Lynch who has served the Foundation in the past and is glad to be rejoining its board. Book is a senior vice president at Delaware Electric Cooperative who looks forward to serving Bayhealth and the broader community through the Foundation’s work.
The Bayhealth Foundation expresses its appreciation to outgoing board chair, Kevin M. Baird. A local attorney and managing partner of Baird Mandalas Brockstedt LLC, Baird is moving to the Bayhealth, Inc. Board of Directors, where he will work with fellow board members in directing the overall strategic plans and goals of the health system. He spent seven years serving the Bayhealth Foundation Board of Directors with four years as chair.
Current Bayhealth Foundation Board Member Garrett Grier is the new board chair. Grier is a business development manager with Burris Logistics and first joined the board in 2014. The other officers on the Bayhealth Foundation Board of Directors include Jonathan Jones, vice chair; Louie Phillips, secretary; and Tita Lewis, treasurer.
“We are deeply grateful to Kevin for his leadership with the Bayhealth Foundation Board and are so glad he will continue his excellent service to Bayhealth on our parent board,” said Bayhealth Foundation President Lindsay Rhodenbaugh. “We are thrilled to have Peni and Rob join us, and to have Garrett as our new chair who will lead the important work we do in advancing the many programs Bayhealth provides to keep our community members healthy.”
